How To Install Windows 8 From A USB Flash Drive

Here's our step-by-step tutorial on how to install Windows 8 from a USB flash drive. First, make certain that you check your computer to find out if you have high-speed 2.0 USB ports installed on your system. You will also need to use a high-speed USB flash drive, so that Windows 8 will be able to recognize it. Be sure to remove or delete any files that you have on the USB flash drive. Also, an adequate amount of memory space should be avalable on the USB flash drive, because you need to save all of Windows operating system files on the device.

Instructions:

Step 1:

Download and install the "Windows 7 USB/DVD" tool from Cnet.com. Open the Web browser on your computer and type the URL address, "http://download.cnet.com/Windows-7-USB-DVD-Download-Tool/3000-18513_4-10972600.html?tag=mncol;6" in the search text box. Press the "Search" button.

Step 2:

Click on the ?Windows7-USB-DVD-tool.exe? to launch the application. Click on ?Next? and then read the End-User License Agreement. When you are done, click inside the check box to accept the terms of the agreement.

Step 3.

Click on the "Install" button to start the installation process. Follow the on-screen instructions and click the "Finish" button when the installation is complete.

Step 4:

Locate the Windows 7 USB/DVD tool icon on your desk and double-click on it. When the pop up box appears, click on the "Browse" button to locate the file path for Windows 8 ISO. Look under "Documents" for the ISO file on your computer. read more >>
