Pedro Almodovar's New Comedy 'I'm So Excited' Jumps to Sony Pictures Classics

Sony Pictures Classics has announced that it has acquired all North American rights to Pedro Almodovar's new film. With the working title "I'm So Excited," the film comes from the director's production company El Deseo.

The film -- an ensemble comedy -- will begin production in July and has a Summer 2013 release date.?

The film includes special appearances from Pen?lope Cruz, Antonio Banderas and Paz Vega and a cast that features Javier C?mara, Cecilia Roth, Lola Due?as, Raul Ar?valo, Carlos Areces, Antonio de la Torre, Hugo Silva, Willy Toledo, Miguel ?ngel Silvestre, Blanca Su?rez, Jos? Luis Torrijo, Jos? Mar?a Yazpik, Laya Mart?.

Sony Pictures classics has released seven of Almodovar's films, including his latest "The Skin I Live In."
